National Adoption Day – November 17th

Every year a week before Thanksgiving, thousands of communities and organisations come together in the United States to finalise hundreds and thousands of adoptions of children from foster care. Events are held all over the country to encourage and promote adoption and over 40,000 children have been adopted from foster care on National Adoption Day alone.
