What is an Influencer?
A relatively new term in the world of social media and marketing, an Influencer refers to an individual that has a significantly large audience on social media, who follow and engage with the user. Influencers have built up credibility and authentic relationships with their followers and have the value of the eyes and ears of their audience. Influencers have good engagement rates and loyal followings, in their respective niches. More prominent influencers are typically found in fashion, beauty and health niches on social media. Due to the influence these users have on their followers, they often time work with marketers and brands to promote and advocate a brand or product to their audience as part of a paid partnership, this is referred to as Influencer Marketing
